This was designed as a part of my thesis project while at the College of Visual Arts. The project I chose was to build an advertising campaign around a flourishing small company. I chose Summit Boardshop and decided to build a social networking advertising campaign for them. The Apple iAd served as a great new way to target a specific audience and also allowed me to build my interactive design muscles.

National Institute for Media in the Family is an organization to help teens and adults understand healthy ways to utilize all forms of media. The objective of this project was to create a landing page for NIMF that would promote their core workshops so that both teens and adults could easily learn more. I designed a vertical accordion style landing page to solve the issue of simplicity and future expansion.

Elevation is a helicopter snowboarding company based out of Telluride, CO. The idea is to take winter extremists to new heights where no one has ever been before. I created a branding identity system for Elevation along with support materials. The logo is designed in a geometric style and housed the idea of the helicopter and the letter “E” repeated.

The primary issue with the Strike King Lure package was that it is almost always different. My plan was to strip the entire project down to its bare bones and unite the brand with the product as well as unify the entire product line. I did that by using very basic elements of color theory and patterns to distinguish one product from another. I also redesigned the brand of Strike King with a more unique mark.

This project was based on a lot of personal research. Before even creating a logo, I researched and built up an identity based on family recipes and traditions. I utilized a more illustrative style and die-cutting to bring more of a playful aspect to the product and help distinguish the product on the shelf.
